I hold a Master of Science degree in Information Studies, with an archives specialization, and also a Master of Arts degree in public history. I am a member of the Society of American Archivists and the Louisiana Archives and Manuscripts Association and have been working in archives and records management, museum curation and preservation, and heritage tourism for 15+ years. My interests and passions include American and Texas history, architectural history and design, music and musicology, science and technology, sports, business, film history and its contribution to culture, and travel and tourism. Archives, museums, and special collections provide the opportunity for knowledge and growth and are vibrant places for research and community. I am committed to preserving the historical and cultural record, regardless of format, and making it accessible to all people for generations to come.
